Combating Illegal Aliens

With the assistance of our peace officers and stiffer state laws, we can help the INS enforce the illegal immigration laws which will help reduce the cost of education, reduce the burden and costs on healthcare services and reduce crime and gang violence in our neighborhoods. The flood of illegal aliens must end!

Real Costs of Illegal Aliens

Total cost to the State of Texas as of April 2005 was $3.7 billion per year. Imagine what it will be for 2008.

  • Education:
Texas taxpayers spend more than $4 billion annually on education for children of illegal aliens and for their U.S. born siblings (source:FAIR).
  • Health Care:
Texas taxpayers spent more than $520 million a year on medical outlays as of 2005.
  • Incarceration:
Texas taxpayers spend $150 million a year incarcerating illegal aliens in Texas’s state and county prisons. This is not including local jail detention costs or related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration.

The end result as of 2005 was the average Texas citizen pays $725 per year for illegal aliens. Illegal aliens have access to better health care than most middle income Texans and free public schools. Most schools being built are to accommodate children of illegal aliens paid for by Texas taxpayers.

Here are the promises I will make to the voters of District 50:

  • Safeguard our elections by requiring the Texas Chief Elections Officer to verify the citizenship status of every person who registers to vote as well as requiring a photo ID when voting.
  • Strictly enforce proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal residency to receive taxpayer-funded benefits. I will stop the wasting of your tax dollars!
  • Require DPS and local law enforcement to be trained to work with federal authorities to protect citizens against crimes committed by illegal aliens.
